Dear Family and Friends,
Our 2010 reunion was such a success that we, as a committee, have decided to use the same formula for 2011. This year we are using the theme “Going Home”. Tooele has a wonderful tour of a pioneer settlement and Old Grist Mill that Grandpa Burridge helped to establish as well as the trip to Rush Valley to see the family plot and homestead where Grandpa and Grandma first raised their family, ran the local ZCMI and post office.
The sand dunes are also a short drive and a wonderful way to spend family time. The Great Salt Lake and historical Saltaire are in the area and this would be a wonderful opportunity to show your children one of Utah’s natural wonders. For the more adventurous of you, Wendover is a few miles further on. It is this president’s understanding that the shows and dinner buffets are equal to none!
Whatever your plans, we hope to see you on Saturday, July 9th!!!

Love,
Paula Mason (President)
Hazel Ruth Isolampi (Vice President)

A Note from Your President
For the past 20 – odd years, we, as a family, have been privileged to be led by LeGrande
Anderson. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for the many adventures he has taken us on and the many things we would never have seen otherwise. From Swan Valley, ID to Vernal, UT, there has never been a dull moment. We all have our favorite times to reflect back on, my personal one being the 1989 trip to Vernal! The friendships we have forged are possible only because LeGrande and his committees have been read and willing to do their parts in entertaining us, feeding us (so very, very well!), and making sure that we all feel comfortable and welcomed. It is my considered opinion that we would not have made it this long without him and his love for us.
I hope to be able to help you all feel at least half as welcomed and half as comfortable as he has; but please bear with me. My success depends solely on your support!
Love,
Paula

THOMA LLOYD

Thoma Clawson Lloyd 1916 ~ 2010 Thoma Lloyd passed away peacefully at her home August 1, 2010 following a brief illness. She was born in Thatcher, Arizona in 1916, growing up in Binghampton and Tuscon. Following high school graduation, she moved to Salt Lake City, working as a telephone operator. At an early age she became well known for her beautiful contralto voice, sharing that talent with others her whole life. In 1937 she was accepted into the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, singing under the direction of Spencer Cornwall. That same year she married Orval Lloyd in the Mesa Temple. They had six children, 32 grandchildren, and 67 great grandchildren. True to her pioneer heritage, her unfailing faith compelled her to accompany her husband and younger children to the British Isles on a building mission for the LDS church. This required leaving behind familiar surroundings, and loved ones. Following that experience, the family moved to Salt Lake City in 1968, where she served in many ward and stake positions. She was a faithful and active member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She and Orval also served another mission to a neighboring stake. She gained many close and lasting friendships in the T.O.P.S association where she served as chapter treasurer for many years. Thoma was most of all a loving mother, as well as a great cook and wonderful homemaker. She selflessly served her family her entire life. Her family cherishes her and will miss her greatly. She is survived by her children, Linda (Glenn) Woods, Anita (David) Jensen, Roger (Cheryl) Lloyd, Judy (Kenny) Ries, Debra Gull, Barry (Jill) Lloyd.

MALTA - Charles Alvin "Lindy" Neddo, age 83, of Malta, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.
Alvin was born on July 22, 1927, to Isaac James and Alice Osterhout Neddo in the family home in Malta, Idaho. In May of 1945, he graduated from Malta High School and the LDS Seminary. While in high school, he enjoyed flying and took his first lessons as a senior with the late, Olaf Moller. In the fall of that year, he met the lovely lady, Rosella Tilch, who was to become his wife. They were married on July 5, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and returned to Malta, to a home where they still live today.
In 1948, his father died, leaving him to care for this mother and a younger brother, as well as the family ranch. He enjoyed ranching, working cattle, and spent many enjoyable days in Meadow Creek and Cold Springs.
He was a charter member and served as president of the Point Springs Grazing Association working with Dr. Lee Sharp at the Point Springs Experiment Station. He served as a Raft River Highway District board member for 26 years, and as a board of director of the State Highway Association, serving as president in 1972 and 1973. Marriages
Dave Nilson and Cherie Bennett love the Lord, each other, and the Constitution. Dave is studying law and constitutional studies along with economics at USU while coaching gymnastics. NEWS FROM DENNIS AND ROSEMARY ANDERSON
Our oldest son, Dennis Ray Anderson, married Gilan Seyedi on June 12, 2010. The wedding was held among the redwoods of Henry Cowell State Park. There was a reception at the Roaring Camp facility. Gilan made her own dress as well as Dennis’ shirt. She’s a very talented lady as we’ve learned over the past months.

Our oldest grandson, Michael Steburg, married Samantha Wilkinson on May 29, 2010 in San Jose, California. Michael and Sam, as she prefers to be called, are both students. Michael is employed at Lucky’s Supermarket and Sam works at the Hampton Inn. Sam is originally from Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, United Kingdom and now has her permanent resident papers and is working to become a citizen.

Sam has taken the missionary discussions and was baptized on October 16. Of course Dennis and RoseMary had to be in San Jose for such a great occasion.

She’s not a Burridge relative, but RoseMary’s mother, LaVon Peterson celebrated her 90th birthday on October 21. We held an early birthday celebration for her in Beaver Dam, Utah at Earley Park. Over 100 of her descendants and their spouses attended. We hope RoseMary inherited her good genes.

Old age must be setting in. RoseMary had an operation for a torn meniscus (knee) and another for a partially detached retina this spring. In July Dennis was operated on for a severed
tendon in his ankle. Both of us are on the mend. We never had these problems when we were younger, but if we had, we would have bounced back faster.
But our health troubles are small compared one of our granddaughters, Chantel Steburg. Chantel is a 21 year-old college student, always vibrant, up-beat and encouraging all the rest of the family. She was recently diagnosed with an auto-immune disease, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis. PBC attacks the bile ducts and will most likely result in a need for a liver transplant as she gets older. Chantel tells about her disease and life in an essay at http://www.heartslinked.com/chantel/ .
LIFE IS FRAGILE. We don’t know who will be listed in the Sorrow Section of the next Burridgette. Take advantage of seeing your family members at THE FAMILY REUNION ON JULY 9TH at DESERET PEAK. WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE.
A family reunion is a time to remember, A time to laugh, A time to celebrate, A time to share old stories And make new memories.
May your Christmas be full of peace and joy and your New Year be one of close family ties strengthened at our family reunion.
