Burridge Reunion 2008

Wow! What a fun reunion we just had!!! We enjoyed visiting with loved ones, playing games and fun on the lake. Friday afternoon as we were greeted at the camp we were informed of a mother bear and cubs in the camp as well as a mother moose and baby in the area. We ate our good food that we brought and then the fun began. We had a blast playing "Hand and Foot" before "good-nights" were said.
Then Saturday morning we cooked and ate pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. It was so yummy and got us ready for an hour on Legacy Lake. We could choose to canoe or do paddle boats. We got to enjoy the beautiful scenery, mother ducks with their babies, while enjoying seeing people from our family. We went back to the pavillion and met the members of our family that had arrived while we were gone. Then it was time to fix our lunch of LeGrande's famous Dutch Oven potatoes and Dutch Oven chicken. Fantastic Food!!! The Dutch Oven potatoes are a favorite tradition at our reunion. Next came our much-looked-forward-to auction. We often have family heirlooms that are brought to the aution. This year there was a quilt that was made by Charell that had pictures of the Neddo Family and homes on it. It had been cherished by another family member and was just like new. It was very much coveted and has now found a new home to be loved in. There was a history that had new pictures and a list of descendents added to it. There were some fun things for the children to bid on and enjoy. All too soon it was time to clean the camp and to say our good-byes.

We are going to have a planning meeting in May of next year for making plans to make plans for the 2009 Reunion. The next reunion is scheduled for the weekend of July 17, 2009 at the Heber Valley Camp. We hope to see you there.
